What is Operation Glass Slipper looking for?
Operation Glass Slipper collects:
Prom and bridesmaids dresses (dresses do not need to be dry-cleaned)
Wedding gowns (5 years or newer please)
Wedding veils
Flower girl dresses and shoes
Dressy shoes
Clutch bags/Purses
Strapless padded bras – bras in larger sizes (DD and up) can have straps/longline bras (any size)
Ring bearer pillows

We are especially in need of:
Smaller size (0-4) and plus size (18+) dresses
Shoes in small sizes (4-7) and larger sizes (11-13), and wider shoes in any size

What do you do with my donation?
We examine all donations to determine whether they are suitable for prom. If they are, they will be placed in inventory for the next Princess Event. If they are not, they will be sold for a nominal amount in one of our periodic fundraising dress sales, which are sales we hold to raise funds to cover out-of-pocket expenses and to purchase items that are not donated in sufficient quantities, such as shoes, purses, jewelry, and prom dresses in the very smallest and very largest sizes. We are diligent about not throwing donations away.

I don’t live in the metro area. Can I still donate?
If you live outside the metro, you can mail your donation to us at Operation Glass Slipper, 2048 Timmy St, Mendota Heights MN 55120. Dresses can be shipped in a padded or bubble-wrap envelope more cheaply than in a box. Thank you for thinking of us!

Can I get a donation receipt for my tax records?
We will happily provide a receipt! Email us at after you have made your donation and we will email you a donation receipt that you can print and keep in your tax file.

I have a wedding dress from 1986 that was cleaned and preserved in a box. Do you take donated wedding dresses from this far back?

Thank you.

I am thinking about donating my wedding dress to your organization and wanted to know if you get a tax write off. Please let me know if you have information on the website or that you can send. Thank you- marisa

I just have a few questions about the tax receipts that we can get after we
make our donation. I was going to drop off the dresses at Weddings by Tess
next week sometime. Now all I have to do is email this email address and l
et you know that I would like a tax receipt for my donation. Is there a wait time for this receipt? Do you put the value of the dresses on the receipt
or is that something I do?
Thanks for in advance for the answers to my questions.
